Program Learning Outcomes

The learning system in the Biology Study Program are designed with reference to the PEOs (Program Educational Objectives) and developments in science and technology, aiming to achieve the PLOs (Program Learning Outcomes).

The objectives of the study program are as follows:

  1. To build academic integrity and motivation, critical thinking skills, open-mindedness, independence, creativity, and scientific innovative abilities, especially in the field of wetland biology and tropical peatlands of Kalimantan, among lecturers, educational staff, and students (Obj#1-BPB)
  2. To contribute to the development of biological sciences, especially in the tropical wetlands (Obj#2-BPB)
  3. To produce graduates who have knowledge and skills in biological sciences, especially in the tropical wetlands (Obj#3-BPB)
  4. To implement knowledge and skills in the community at local, national, and regional levels (Obj#4-BPB)
  5. To develop cooperation with stakeholders, including government institutions, the private sector, research institutions, and non-governmental organizations at the national and regional levels, in order to improve the quality of education, research, and community research activities (Obj#5-BPB)

The Program Learning Outcomes of the Biology Study Program are as follows:

  1. Having academic integrity based on religious values and Pancasila to contribute to the progress of the nation and state (LO#1-BPB)
  2. Mastering and applying biological science and other scientific fields that support the development of biological science (LO#2-BPB)
  3. Able to work in teams and communicate actively orally and in writing in the field of biological sciences (LO#3-BPB)
  4. Able to have critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, with a lifelong commitment to learning in the fields of biological sciences and entrepreneurship (LO#4-BPB)
  5. Able to plan, solve problems, and provide recommendations for sustainable management of tropical wetland resources (LO#5-BPB).
  6. Mastering biological instruments and methodologies and being able to apply them in the management of tropical wetland resources (LO#6-BPB)
