Hello, Biology Friends!
On February 28, 2025, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Tanjungpura University and the West Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) officially established a partnership through the signing of a cooperation agreement that took place in Theater Room 2, Untan Conference Building. This collaboration aims to strengthen research and management of biodiversity, as well as designate the BKSDA’s operational area as a “second campus” for students to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
As part of the event, a public lecture was also held on the theme “Regulations for Activities in the West Kalimantan BKSDA Area,” presented by the Head of the West Kalimantan BKSDA and the Coordinator of the KKHSG BKSDA West Kalimantan. This lecture discussed regulations on research permits for plants and wildlife in conservation areas, providing important insights for the Untan FMIPA academic community in conducting conservation and sustainability-based research.
With this collaboration, it is hoped that research and biodiversity management can be further developed, while strengthening the synergy between academics and conservation practitioners. 🌱
